Low-cost smart solutions for daylight and electric lighting integration in historical buildings

Abstract Research have shown that the correct integration of daylight and electric lighting reduces energy use in buildings, while improving visual comfort. Smart shading systems, especially those electrically controlled, play an important role to control solar radiation. Similarly, smart dimmable/tunable can help adjust artificial light real users’ needs. This paper presents preliminary results ongoing living lab study investigating how systems be integrated with placing human comfort at heart yet saving energy. A manually commercial low-cost system integrating two motorized devices six dimmable LED luminaires a different selection CCT were installed private office historical building. Indoor outdoor conditions consumption associated are constantly monitored assess people upon varying boundary conditions.. Preliminary highlight users prefer maximise on work plane as well they generally both response cause serious discomfort.
